Events 2023
Saturday 4th February – A & P Show
At the end of 2022, we were kindly donated two Giant pumpkin plants to try and grow for the A & P Show in 2023. Each class planted them and thankfully we had a lot of rain over the summer holidays and this helped keep the pumpkins growing. When we came back to school in 2023, we were all amazed at the size of the pumpkins. We took off the extras to help give our pumpkins a last ditch effort at growing bigger. We entered our pumpkins and were ecstatic that we won the overall trophy and received 1st and 2nd place.
Monday 20 February 2023 – Family Fun Night
After a huge rain event at the beginning of February and a cyclone in the middle of February, we were eventually able to hold our Family Fun Night. We had kai, families brought picnics and games. There were lots of conversations and discussions (mainly weather related) but a great chance to have a catch up and meet some of the families we don’t see often. It was a fabulous night had by all.
Tuesday 14th March 2023 – Grandparents Day
We had a wonderful morning and afternoon with the large amount of grandparents that came to spend time with their mokopuna. There were lots of smiles around the activities and lovely kai to eat at the end. There was a variety of activities on offer, with the hot glue guns being the most favourable making the marble maze. Thank you to the parent community for providing an amazing lunch.
Thursday 23 March 2023 – Northern Wairoa Football Competition
The Year 1 – 4 students were very excited to have a day out in Dargaville, playing football (or soccer). They travelled by bus and competed in small teams against other schools in the Western Kaipara area. It was a big day for them all but some of our kids have some awesome football skills. We were proud of how they conducted themselves, being proud winners and losers. They just wanted to have fun.
